Seminar Description:
Seminar students, please park in the back parking lot behind the building and walk up the concrete stairs around the left side, past the Copper Jacket Café, and enter through the front doors of Shooters Outpost – Thank You.

This is a free 2-hour seminar that is offered one day a month. The seminar covers basic information for new gun owners regarding firearm safety, legal transport and storage, range etiquette, practical ways to practice, and some basics on the lawful use of firearms. We will also cover standard maintenance of firearms.

This seminar does not include any range time, but you may bring your firearm if you have questions about its features or operation. If you bring your firearm in for this purpose, please be sure it is unloaded and in a case, box, or bag.

Course Description:

Course Description:
This 4 hour clinic is all range time working with your tactical rifle for a realistic urban environment. We will cover sight adjustment, calculating offset, safety administration, moving and shooting, team tactics and communication. Optics and slings recommended but not required.

A Review of Rifle Safety. This covers the proper use of the AR-15 safety. This will also cover the muzzle control and trigger finger disciple for long guns.

Rifle Administration:
We will cover proper stances for rifles, reloading and malfunction clearing and optional transition to handgun. Students should bring at least 2 rifle magazines. Students are not required to bring a handgun/holster, but it is recommended.

Setting the zero for your residential AR:
Students will be emailed a target to set the zero prior to class. This target is shot at 5 yards and can be used to zero your rifle sight/optic for a 50 yard zero. You are not required to have a 50 yard zero. But you will be shooting as close as 15 feet, so you should know your offset to take a precision shot.

Scenarios/Drills:
We will be moving and engaging targets, transitioning to handgun, engaging reactive targets, using target identification, shooting under diverse lighting and doing team drills. This is a dynamic and fun class for you to use your rifle. New and experience shooters enjoy and learn in this clinic.

NRA Personal Protection in the Home

Course Description:
This 11 hour NRA class is the first of the two part series of classes from the National Rifle Association. This class introduces knowledge and skills for using a firearm for self-defense. This class is for the new Shooter, as well as the experienced Shooter, who seeks information on proper shooting and self-defense as well as the legal aspects of using a firearm in a self-defense situation.

Course Description:
This 14 hour NRA class is the second of the two part series of classes from the National Rifle Association. This class advances knowledge and skills for using a firearm for self-defense. This class goes to the next level on lawful use of a firearm in self-defense established by the PPITH class. This class covers drawing from concealment, use of cover, retention shooting, dynamic movement, physical and psychological impact of an attack.

Course Description:
This class covers the legal aspects of carrying a concealed handgun in today’s society. Relevant NH court cases and their legal outcomes are discussed in order to bring students to greater understanding of the benefits and hazards of lawfully carrying a firearm. We will also cover Holster options and observation/awareness skills will also be discussed.

Our range time will challenge students to exercise sound judgement in whether their firearm will be needed, and if so, will challenge their skill level to be effective in different situations. The student’s assessment of their skill level verses their actual skill level is a critical element in choosing a course of action, should one be required.

This is a 4 hour class, with half of that time spent on the range. Students are required to have taken a previously class that cover firearm safety, handgun administration and the proper fundamentals of shooting. These skills are taught in our MFL Basic Pistol class and the NRA Personal Protection in the Home class, although MFL classes are not a prerequisite. Students should also know how to safely draw their firearm from their holster; these skills are taught in our Practical Handgun Clinic or similar class

The objectives of the Clinic:
This Clinic moves beyond the basics of shooting to help the student develop a
more advanced and tactical skill set. This clinic is not an intro class.
Students should have already had some instruction from a Certified Firearms Instructor, like our Personal Protection in the Home class.

A Review of Firearm Safety.

This covers the basics of gun safety and range etiquette. This will also cover the proper way to draw a handgun from a holster PLEASE wear a belt (the stronger the better), bring your holster if you have one (strong-side hip is preferred). Holsters will be provided at no charge if you do not have one.

We will cover drawing /re-holstering, reloading and malfunction clearing as our handgun administration skills. We will also fine tune your grip, stance, sight picture and trigger control. Students should bring 2 magazines for their semi-auto or two speed loaders for their revolver, if you have them. Proficiency Drills

We all will shoot some standard drills for you to assess your general shooting proficiency. These are drills you can practice on your own, to measure your progress.

Many of the Personal Protection students request more opportunities to run through the scenario usually run with Personal Protection class. We will have at least two scenarios setup with reactive targets for you to shoot.

Students will need around 250 rounds of ammo.

Protecting Houses of Worship Seminar

This free seminar presents basic knowledge and information to Houses of Worship who seek to create their own security team. Drawing volunteers to participate, establishing security roles, methods of communication and coordinating with Law Enforcement are covered in this seminar. Other topics include assessing liability, security protocols and equipment options. This seminar is meant to be a starting place to gain an overall view of issues to be considered, whether your group is large or small.

13 Drills Class

This is the second day, 3 hours shooting portion of the PPOTH class. If students have already taken the PPOTH, they may take just the second day of shooting again.

CCW’s Role in an Active Shooter Situation

This 4 Hour class deals solely with the armed citizen caught in an Active Shooter situation. Many have taken the standard Run/Hide/Fight Active Shooter training, which assumes the individual is NOT armed. This class covers the dynamics and options for those armed individuals who find themselves in a position of possibly helping to protect innocent lives. Tactics and strategies that one could deploy are covered as well as a range of drills that test the individuals skills and judgement.

NH Firearms Certification

As per NH RSA 106-F:8c, all State Armed Guards / Private Investigators are required to attend 4 hours of instruction to include firearms techniques and safety, laws on the use of deadly force, and the moral and ethical use of force. They must also pass the State Firearms Proficiency live fire test.

This class Meets the requirements set forth by NH RSA 106-F:8c. We’ll cover NH RSA TITLE LXII – CRIMINAL CODE CHAPTER 627 dealing with justification of deadly force. We will cover proper and safe firearm handling as well as tactics for the armed professional.

This course includes range time instruction with students’ own firearm or MFL rented firearms (rental fee is an additional cost), bring your eye and hearing protection. MFL Range ammunition is required for rentals at an additional cost. If you are bringing your own handguns, you may also bring your own ammo.

Students in this class will need their handgun, holster, 2 magazines or 2 speed loaders and at least 80 rounds. If you fail the first shooting qualification, you’ll need an additional 80 rounds for each attempt. Students will have to score the 70% hit requirement (twice), but you must be able to safely load, draw, fire, re-holster your handgun. THIS CLASS IS NOT AN INTRO TO HANDGUNS CLASS. Students should already be familiar handgun shooting. If you seek basic handgun instruction, contact the Instructor.

This qualification uses the FBI Q target at ranges from 3 to 25 yards. Students must demonstrate safe and proper gun handling, this means you will only make contact with the trigger when you are on target AND firing, and you must keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction at ALL times.

Course Fee with our Master Instructor is $75 per hour lesson for 1, add $25 for each additional person. Students must also pay the range fee for time spent on the range. Students may bring their own firearms or rent from MFL’s many rental choices.
